Most of us, if we are honest, would say that we have made some mistakes in life. I know I have. I have some regrets. Do you?
I have heard some people say, that they wouldn’t change a thing about their life. I can’t agree with that. Nope. I have made some dumb choices in life and if I could do it all over again, I would do many things differently.
What do you do, when you make a mistake? Do you beat yourself up, over and over again. Does it keep you up at night? I have beat myself up many times, but I have found a better way.
I John 1:9 says – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. After I make a mistake or commit a sin, I get things right with God. Give it a try.
Many people, when they make a mistake, want to make excuses or try to cover it up. When you make a mistake, it is best to:
- recognize it
- admit it
- Learn from it
- Forget it
Learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat them again. From the very beginning, God knew we would sin, so He sent His Son to die, on a cross, to pay the penalty, for our sins.
I’ve got some regrets in my life. But I am so glad, that I have a God who loves me, and gave Himself for me, in spite of all of my sins. That’s a God worth living for!
Have you placed your faith, in the one, true God? If you have, you’ll never regret it. If you haven’t, you’ll regret it, for all eternity. Turn from your sins, and receive Christ, as your Lord and Savior today!
