Ken Bailey – President and Chief Executive Officer

Ken Bailey was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and raised in Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, from Hardin-Simmons University, in Abilene, TX and earned a Master of Science degree, in Education, from Baylor University, in Waco, TX. He then completed work at Houston Baptist University to obtain a Certificate in Administration. Finally, Ken went on to become a licensed stock broker. He has spent the majority of his career, in education, as a teacher, coach, athletic director and principal. He has also served as a youth director, pastor, stock broker and is currently the Field Director, for the non-profit organization – Christian Action Group and USA Youth Outreach. Ken has a broad background in humanitarian work, serving as a volunteer at Star of Hope, in Houston, TX, mission trips to Mexico, Africa, Israel, Ecuador and other countries. He has worked with Holocaust survivors in Israel. He has helped to fund work at medical clinics and orphanages in Africa. He has served on the Board of Directors, for Hope Ignited, a non-profit organization that does work in Africa and several South American countries. Ken has a passion to meet the physical and spiritual needs of “The Least of These”, as Jesus commanded us to do. His love for the poor, orphan, widow and refugees, has led him to create Alms International Ministries (AIM). He is married to Sue Bailey.

Sue Bailey – Vice Chairman and Secretary

Sue Bailey was born in Vallejo, CA. She received a Bachelor of Science degree, in Education, from Hardin-Simmons University, located in Abilene, TX. She went on to earn a Master of Science degree, in Education, from the University of Texas at Tyler. Sue has spent the majority of her career, in education, as a teacher. She has taught at the elementary, middle school and high school levels. Sue has a passion to meet the needs of the disadvantaged and has served, on mission trips, to the Navajo Indians. Sue is married, to A.I.M. founder, Ken Bailey and they have two, amazing children – Michelle and Jack.

Dorissa Janas – General Director

Dorissa Janas was born in Wichita, KS. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Elementary Education, from Adams State University, located in Alamosa, CO. Dorissa is a gifted artist and has served as an Art teacher, in various schools. She has done missions work, in Costa Rica, and has a passion for working with college students and offering help and hope to orphans, all over the world. Dorissa is married to Bill Janas and they have two, wonderful sons, Sean and Evan.

Mary Moore – General Director

Mary Moore is a native of Colorado. Mary and her husband, Ken, have five grown children and six grandsons. She received her B.A. degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1973 and her M.A. degree in Special Education from the University of Colorado Springs at Colorado in 2003. She has been in education/teaching for 23 years before retiring. Mary has been serving on the Good Samaritan Advisory Board ongoing eight years now where she continues to volunteer her time between the residents and projects needed done for the nursing home.

William Janas – General Director

William Janas was born in Alamosa, CO. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Elementary Education and Psychology, and a Master of Arts Degree, in School Counseling, from Adams State University, located in Alamosa, CO. William has spent the majority of his career, working in the public schools, where he continues, as a school counselor. He has led worship teams, at various churches and has been on mission trips to Costa Rica and Africa. He has done volunteer work with Big Brothers / Big Sisters and Fathers in the Field. William has a passion for doing ministry work with college students and for meeting the needs of orphans. He is married to Dorissa Janas.

David Ward – General Director

David Ward was born in Flint, MI. He graduated from Hillsdale College, located in Hillsdale, MI, with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business Administration and with minors in English, Health, and Physical Education. David has been involved, with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), for 31 years, as a sponsor, in various schools. He has taught and coached, for over thirty years. He has been the lead clinician, for sports camp (girls’ basketball), for about 10 years. Through University Baptist Church, he has been involved with Navajo Mission Trips, for about 10 years. He also has directed a sports camp, for the Navajo youth, while church construction teams build church buildings.

Lee Anne Ward – General Director and V.P. of Finance

Anne Ward was born in Borger, TX. She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, located in Nacogdoches, TX. She received a Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration, and has worked, in the public sector, as a Financial Analyst, for 21 years, and 6 years as a Contract Manager. Through University Baptist Church, she has worked and supported the Light House of Hope Mission, feeding needy families, in the Houston area, during the Christmas Holidays, and the Crisis Pregnancy Center, with silent auction fund raisers. She is married to David Ward and they have two, daughters, Kymberlee and Lyssa.
