Navajo Christmas Outreach 2020

Hi Friends! We just got back from our annual Alms International trip, to the Navajo Reservation, to do our Christmas Outreach. We had the most amazing time being with our Navajo family in Christ.

The situation on the reservation is very serious. There are many people who have lost their jobs and many have lost loved ones, due to Covid.

Most people have stayed home and churches have not met since March. We saw so many signs in front of homes that said – No Visitors! People fear getting Covid!!!

So many people we met were lonely, isolated and desperately wanted to be loved and have someone help them during this crisis! We brought hope and encouragement to our Navajo friends by passing out hundreds of Christmas gifts, along with Sheepherder bags and boxes of food.

We took firewood, to keep homes warm and financial gifts to many families, to help keep the electricity on and to pay for more food or needs that the families might have.

Huge amounts of Clothing and Sanitizer were also distributed. The Gospel was shared in homes and many people wanted us to pray with them and for them.

People were in tears, when we came to their doors to bless them with these items and told us that they wouldn’t have any Christmas presents for their children, if we hadn’t come. Others told us that they couldn’t buy groceries or pay their utility bills.

Special thanks go to Ben Sergo, Elizabeth Shaw, and Travis Smith, for going on the trip and helping to distribute the items.

We, at Alms International, want to thank Matheson Community Church, University Baptist Church, New Song Christian Fellowship and Gateway Church, for partnering with us, with gifts and financial support to do this outreach. We also want to thank all of the individual donors, who donated gifts or sent money, to purchase the items that we distributed. We couldn’t have done this work without you!!! It will take eternity to know all of the impact that your generous gifts had on the people, during this difficult time.

We are praying that revival breaks out across the Navajo reservation, America and around the world.

If you want to make an end-of-year, tax-deductible gift, to Alms International, go to our website – almsinternational.com and click on the donate tab.

In closing, we know that 2020 has been a very difficult year for people all around the world. However, we know that God is in control and we will continue to Love Christ and serve others until He takes us home.

Merry Christmas to all of you! We love you all.

In His Service,

Ken Bailey
